Amsterdam

Last week Jack and I took a short city break to Amsterdam to celebrate his 22nd birthday. Beforehand we had fully planned our two nights in the city and checked ourselves into the Ibis Amsterdam Stopera, with very friendly and helpful staff and with an amazing breakfast each morning we had an perfect stay at this hotel.

Day one was a day packed full of plans, seeing as this was the only full day we had we tried to get the most possible done, we started the day by taking a trip to the Artis zoo, both of us love animals so this was one of the highlights of our trip, from lions to elephants to wild birds flying around (if you already know me then surely you will know my big fear of birds). We also took a trip to the Van Gogh museum,  I come from quite an artistic family so I felt like I owed it to them to visit, the last thing we did that day was visit the Banksy exhibit at Moco museum. We also enjoyed some lovely meals out in the city.

Day two we spent walking around the lovely canals Amsterdam has to offer. We also took a little trip to the Cheese museum to try out some exotic cheese and I also got to try out some good old dutch clogs, maybe these will be the trend of 2018.

Maren ♡

Welcome to my new blog ♥

Hello there and welcome to my blog ♥ You may already know me, however if you don´t my name is Maren, I am a third year psychology combined with English language student.

Two years ago I decided to take the big step of packing all my stuff and moving to a country I knew very little about, leaving my safe life in Norway behind with a hope of returning with an education. With all my life packed in two suitcases I headed across the sea to England, more specifically Chester, a cosy city with a lot of English charm, from the Eastgate clock to the Chester Rows.

Adapting to this new lifestyle brought both good and bad times with it, this blog will take you through my life in England, Norway and wherever I travel. I currently live in Liverpool while I complete my third year, which means a lot of commuting.

Keep updating if you want to find out more about me and my life.
